Can you believe it’s almost March? Honestly, where does the time go?

I finally got my wish for snow! Yay! Since work isn’t crazy busy right now, I was able to spend last Wednesday in the mountains getting my ski on. Days spent alone in the mountains with some great music and good snow are little pieces of heaven.

BUT, there’s been a lot going on as well. Last week I auditioned for Athleta, which would be my dream job.  I think it’s a long shot since, from what it sounds like, they’re doing nationwide casting but it was great just to get a chance to sit down with the DP and PA and interview.

I connected with a couple of other guys and we’ve been working on writing a web series that I’ll also act in. Fun group of people and I was able to bring in a few others I’ve worked with in the past so it will be a great crew all the way around. There’s a lot of work upfront to be done before we start filming but we’re getting the ball rolling.

I also met with an awesome photographer last week who might have some model and production management needs. He’s done some amazing work so it would be great to get a chance to work with him and broaden my scope.

This weekend I’ll be shooting with Joe Morahan in Beaver Creek. Finally. We’ve had to reschedule it three times due to snow but I think this is going to be the week. I hope. Keep your fingers crossed. It will entail a lot of hiking and a long day of shooting but in the end we’ll end up with some amazing shots, as we always do with Joe. I’m looking forward to some waist deep snow and blue skies!

I also have another shoot for March planned with Mark Woolcott. It’s also an outside snow shoot. It’s been a while since Mark and I shot together so I’m looking forward to that. I got spoiled seeing him every week with Coleman.

I’m still doing the MetroBrokers shoots every other week as well.

That about sums up my life right now. I’m heading to sunny Mexico in the next couple of weeks but before that I’m going to spend every weekend skiing so I get my fill. Now that the snows good, I’m not going to let it pass me by. Hit me up if you want to ski with me!

xoxo

PS – I attached a link to the Mexican video I did a while back. It’s kind of humorous and it was so much fun to shoot.

Beware, it’s kind of out there.  🙂

Yo….

January is off to a good start. 🙂

We have a casting going on looking for a spokesmodel for an athletic apparel company. If you are 22-30 years old and love working out, this is for you. We are searching for a model/athlete that wants to blog a couple times a month about their workouts, races, adventures while wearing the company’s clothes. So send me a message if you’re interested and I can give you all the details. It is paying and you would get LOTS of free product.

I shot a video for Canary Energy last week with the great Mark Woolcott. It was nothing too challenging, a lot of looking at the camera and smiling, but it was fun. Richelle Tanner was my cohort in the video and she’s just a fun girl to work with.

I have done quite a few MetroBroker TV videos lately as well. We’ve had a lot of people each session doing their videos and it’s so much fun to learn about everyone’s business. I think real estate would be an interesting next career.

There have been a lot of auditions lately which have been keeping me busy as well. For some odd reason I really enjoy auditioning.

Finally, we’re starting to ramp up Coleman again so if you’re interested in modeling for us, send me a message and I’ll add you to my email alert list as to when we have shoots.

There’s also some cool stuff coming up so stay tuned. I’m shooting with Joe Morahan in a couple of weeks in Beaver Creek. I think we had planned on shooting earlier but it got pushed back. This date is set in stone and we have some great shots we’re aiming to get. It’s going to be two full days of shooting so I’m looking forward to that. I also have a music video shoot coming up and a tentative web series. I’m going to try to start Facebook-ing and Instragram-ing more. I’m not so good at keeping these avenues updated but I’ve realized it’s a good way to get my behind the scene shots out there. I’ll probably forget I said this by the next shoot, though…

Happy New Year!

It’s been a little bit hard to get back in the swing of things after taking a couple of weeks off for the holidays but 2013 is moving right along. I’ve had a bunch of auditions already this year and some very interesting opportunities that I’m looking forward to pursuing.

Last week I filmed a commercial and did a radio spot for Home Smart by Excel Energy. I’ll post some pictures in the behind the scenes area. It was a really fun shoot with the Aztec Media Group and shoot at the Excel Energy offices.

I did another MetroBrokers shoot today and we had five real estate agents come in to do their videos. It was a smooth shoot and we got all five agents done in one take each.

This weekend I’m supposed to shoot up in the mountains with one of my favorite photographers, Joe Morahan. He has four companies sponsoring him with their gear and so we’re planning on doing some skiing shots and some outside portraits using Lowe Pro backpacks and Pocket Wizard gear, etc to get some awesome shots and kill four birds at once. It’s a lot to organize so nothing is set in stone yet but I look forward to working with Joe again. His work is amazing and he’s so much fun. I’ll be sure to post some pictures behind the scenes of that once I get back.

I got the pictures back from Jessica Ramsey and one is posted below. To see more go to the fashion section in my portfolio.

There’s a ton of stuff going on right now so check back again soon. Now that work is picking up again I’ll be sure to post more often.

xoxo

I am praying for snow. Where is our snow? I’m almost done with my Christmas shopping, halls are decked, work is done and I want to SKI! I thought since last year was so sucky (most likely not a real word) that this year would be awesome. I know, I’m jumping the gun a bit but I’m ready for a great ski season. Seeing as how we’re having 50+ degree weather this week, I’m guessing it’s going to be a few more weeks before I get my wish. I’ll keep my fingers crossed, though.

To make the best of this gorgeous weather, I’m doing a yoga shoot outside tomorrow. Picture yoga pants and tank tops. It might be a little cold but probably not too bad. I did another shoot last week for a website which was basically just my back nd although there was a bit of a breeze, it was quite comfortable most of the time.

I have a golf shoot on Friday for Action Media again. Fun guys to work with so I’m looking forward to that. The last time I shot with them we were in a studio thankfully since it was SOOO cold so I’m not sure what to expect this time. And so it goes with many of my shoots, I have no idea what I’m doing until I show up. I’ve decided I’m going to get good at golf this coming spring so I like working with these guys and seeing all the new fun stuff. Now if I can just figure out how to use it….

I  have MetroBrokers again next week and late next week I have a shoot with Jessica Ramsey. I’m looking forward to that and I’ll post some pictures once I get them back.

I’ve had to take it a little bit easier on the running lately since my foot has been bothering me. I had plantar fasciitis 5 years ago and suddenly it just came back. I got fit for new insoles but when I received them and started wearing them, my foot got much worse. I went back to the doctor today and, come to find out, he thinks I have been wearing insoles that were made for someone else. Awesome. So I’m going to let my foot rest for a couple of days since it feels really bruised and just do some spin classes and yoga and then try a longer run on Saturday. I vowed that if I could get my foot to feel better I’d pick something cool to train for. I’ve been slacking since my last marathon and with this injury it’s made me miss pushing myself more.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

I hope everyone is having a fantastic holiday season. I think I’ve finally learned to slow down and enjoy this time of year. At least that’s what I’m telling myself. 🙂 I hope you’re all doing the same.

Lots of love and kisses.

The SNL Holiday Special is on. I love SNL…..here are a few of my favorite links…

Notice a trend? 🙂

So the holidays are sort of slow in terms of work but not too bad. It’s nice to have a little bit of a break. I had a shoot today for what is usually MetroBrokers but we were doing 3 1/2 minute videos for small businesses. It was a lot of fun. Check out iComputer if you have computer issues that you just can’t figure out. There’s a great flower shop called Ruffly Roses and an awesome craft company called Craft Rox that does birthday parties and various classes. All are worth checking out. It’s so much fun to meet these great entrepreneurs and learn more about their companies.

I have a shoot at Roxborough on Friday so looking forward to that. I hope it’s not super chilly. I’m not a good super chilly person unless I get a shower after. I could take a shower after I guess. But showers require getting cold to get warm. Ah, decisions.

I would like to say right here and now that I am WAY ahead of schedule for Christmas. I have lights up on my house, my tree up, a good majority of gifts bought, cards ordered, etc. Here’s the issue. I do this often and then about early December I put everything off until mid December and then I’m in a scramble to get it all done. Not this year, dear friends. No siree. This year I am going to deck the halls early and then spend the rest of December drinking hot chocolate, ice skating, enjoying beautiful light shows, riding sleighs, dog sleds and other things that probably require snow and being overly festive-y. Yes. I am in the Christmas spirit and productive. Yay!

November 13th, 2012

I had a great shoot today with Action Media for a variety of golf products. It was for a commercial for their golf show showing some golf Christmas present options. Fun shoot, great guys. Hopefully I’ll get a chance to work with them more in the future. I also did another shoot with MetroBrokers today.

Tomorrow I have two shoots with Coleman. The first is in the morning at my house and then we’re heading over to Coleman in the afternoon to do some outdoor shots. I have a meeting in between that with a couple of guys that have a video company. We’re going to collaborate in producing a series of videos to demonstrate the capabilities of their company. It’ll be a long day in the middle of a busy week.

Below are some pictures from my shoot yesterday with Greg Mionske. There are also a few in the fitness section of my portfolio. Did I mention it was freezing cold? I think I’m still cold. I’m wearing a snuggy right now if that says anything.

November 12th, 2012

Crazy busy week again. Love it.

Today I had a shoot with Greg Mionske. It was at 6:30 AM and 22 degrees out. We were doing a running shoot and by the end we were all frozen solid. It was a fun shoot, though, and we got some great shots. I’ll post them tomorrow once I get them on DropBox.

I have a shoot tomorrow for golf products and then later in the day for MetroBrokers TV.

Wednesday I have another Coleman shoot, which I’m modeling airbeds and pillows. Sounds like my kind of modeling. 🙂

Thursday I have a shoot with Bambi Dingman, who is really fun to work with. We’re doing a denim theme shoot so I’ll post some of those pictures once I get them back as well. Bambi is great about getting pictures back quickly. I love that.

That’s about it for now. I can’t believe Thanksgiving is right around the corner. Where has this year gone??!

Catch ya on the flip side

November 4th, 2012

Hey y’all. It’s been a slow week but things are starting to ramp up a bit more. Not a lot to report right now but I’m auditioning and have a few things in the works. I’m not good at sitting still so the last week of relative slowness has me a bit antsy but I have been able to get caught up on a few projects around the house.

Closet cleaned out, check. Garage cleaned out, check. Leaves bagged, check. I have the kitchen cabinets and storage area in my basement left and then Christmas shopping.  I hope to get my Christmas shopping done early this year and actually enjoy the holidays.

So in terms of modeling, I have a snowboard company Dual (www.dualsnowboards.com, check them out) that I’m going to do a shoot with. Looks pretty cool although I don’t have any experience with them. I’ve skied all my life and Dual looks like a blend of skiing and snowboarding so I’m ready to give it a shot. Should be a fun shoot overall since we’ll be outside and on the mountain.

I’m also shooting Sphero again, I think. That was a fun shoot last year so we’re figuring out some days and hopefully it will work into the schedule.

We’re looking at doing some other Black and Tan Extravagan so that would be fun. Good crew, fun client, beer. What could be better. I think overall there will be some fun opportunities for the holidays and I’m excited to take some time to do more networking since the past few months have been so chaotic.

That’s about it on my end. xoxo and keep in touch!

Here are a few more pictures from the shoot with Bambi Dingman. She didn’t win the contest but her pictures turned out great.

She was a blast to shoot with.
